Welcome to Zoology, Level 3 (Grades 6–8)

Welcome to your journey through the fascinating world of animals! This course is designed to engage students in grades 6–8 with hands-on learning activities, inquiry-based questions, and interactive lessons that complement our course workbook.

Important Information Before You Begin:

  • Individual Student Accounts: Each student must have their own login to access the course.

  • Course Workbook: Each student will need their own copy of the course workbook to complete activities, labs, and assignments.

  • Teacher Resources: Teachers must have their own Teacher Book to access lesson guides, discussion prompts, and answer keys.

  • Certificate of Completion: Students will earn a certificate once all modules are marked complete and all quizzes have been answered.

Course Structure:

  • This course includes 12 lessons covering all major topics in zoology, from animal cells to conservation.

  • Teachers have flexibility in pacing:

    • Option 1: Complete one lesson per week over 12 weeks.

    • Option 2: Spend 2–3 weeks per lesson for deeper exploration and extended activities.

What Each Lesson Contains:

Lessons are designed to be flexible and supplemental to the workbook. The online portion of this course may include:

  • Supplemental Videos to enhance understanding of lesson content.

  • Internet Resources for research and exploration.

  • Book Options for further reading and enrichment.

  • Quizzes to assess comprehension and track progress.

  • Music, activities, and more to engage multiple learning styles.

How to Use This Course:

This course is designed to complement the workbook, not replace it. Students should complete the workbook activities alongside the online modules to gain the full benefit of the curriculum. Teachers are encouraged to adapt pacing and activities based on student needs.

We are thrilled to have you join us and look forward to exploring the animal kingdom together!
